Marcin i Bartłomiej Brat Oleś (1973) – double bass and drums – are one of most creative artists, composers and important voices of young generation in European jazz. They have cooperated with David Murray, Theo Jorgensmann, William Parker, Ken Vandermark, Erik Friedlander, Simon Nabatov, Chris Speed, Kenny Werner, Herb Robertson, Rob Brown, Jean-Luc Cappozzo, Mark O’Leary, Rudi Mahall and more. Many of their albums was voted as the best albums of the year or received highest recommendation in jazz magazines.
They have played jazz festivals such as Jazz Brugge, Kerava Jazz Fest., Montreux Jazz Fest., Jazz DOR Strasbourg, Jazzy Colors Paris, Jazz en Nord Lille, New Sound Kyjiv, Europa Jazz Fest Graz, Modern Jazz Fest Rudersdorf, Lüneburger Jazznights, Jazz Meets World [Prague], Pepsi Siget Festival [Budapest], Jeunesses Musicales [Bucuresti], Jazz no Borders [Lviv], Albaimpro [Hungary], Era Jazzu Festival Cracow/Warsaw and played concerts in France, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Swiss, Ukraine, Poland, Czech, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Finland, Belgium, UK.
